Reverie Repertory creates intimate, artist-led theater where music and story come vividly alive.
Reverie began in the winter of 2025 with Menotti’s beloved opera Amahl and the Night Visitors at Nichols Concert Hall; a warm and imaginative production that brought together singers, actors, instrumentalists, designers and a full house for an evening shaped by immediacy and wonder.
This summer, Reverie returns to Nichols Concert Hall to present William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, continuing the collaboration between John Macfarlane and Susan Hart and building on the theatrical spirit that launched the company. The production features many of the artists from the Amahl cast alongside accomplished Shakespearean actors.
Reverie’s mission is to build a highly skilled ensemble that brings classical plays and story-driven opera to life.
