This project supports the live musical execution and technological performance of my original score and instrument for Act 3 of Operator’s Human Unreadable, premiering at The Whitney and being streamed worldwide to museums around the world. The performance explores the tension between human vulnerability and technological systems, using music to ground a raw, memoir-like live show. To bring this score to life on stage, the performance features a live musical ensemble alongside the debut of a custom, wearable interactive instrument, a fashion piece designed to translate physical movement into sound and light in real time. Raised funds will directly support the engineering of this wearable hardware, fair compensation for the live ensemble and musical director, and essential logistics including travel, NYC housing, per diem, and childcare.
