RyderDance is a NYC-based contemporary dance company. Under the Artistic Direction of
Jordan Ryder, the Company's dance practice is inspired by the combination and juxtaposition of the natural human experience with humans’ physical and athletic capabilities. The work contrasts emotions with raw movement, left brain with right, and pushing the limitations of instinct. The collision of these differing forces is the root of the Company's motivation to move, create, and grow.
RyderDance believes that bridging the gap between the audiences of commercial and concert dance is imperative to the future of the dance world. Therefore, RyderDance actively works to expand our creations’ reach and accessibility by exploring new audiences and mediums in order to nurture the life of live performance art. Dance can be expansive, exhilarating and personal all at once and that is something that should be shared and celebrated.
RyderDance's work has been presented at over ten venues in the tri-state area, including the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Dixon Place, The Loew's Jersey Theatre, Mark Morris Dance Center, and the Martha Graham Studio Theater, to name a few. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, RyderDance began
exploring the world of dance on camera. As we re-emerge in this post pandemic world, RyderDance looks forward to continuing our mission of bringing audiences together by creating high quality, accessible stage work that draws in, touches, and excites audiences everywhere.
