I have fielded many requests over many years to make a recording of a Schubert Lieder album after my successes in European competitions, but had to find the right collaborator with whom to work. My first rehearsal with Timothy Lovelace, which was meant to decide repertoire, was incredibly moving - imagine cooking with someone, and not having to even look at a recipe to know which ingredients belong in which amounts. Tim is an incredible interpreter of Schubert, and this will be a recording that could (and will) be a world-standard Lieder album, with the masterful ears and work of Grammy award-winning producer Blanton Alspaugh and Sound Mirror.
