Let's get Scraplanta's Doors open!
Fiscally Sponsored by Fractured Atlas
We made it!We want to thank all of the generous donors that have helped us get to this point. We are eager to open our doors soon, and this was made possible through us reaching our goal. Now, we are able to afford DeKalb County Fire and Water inspections, so we can get our business license and finally be able to serve the Metro Atlanta community. We had volunteers come and paint our retail walls a bright yellow to welcome customers. Soon, we will install our flooring, and we'll be ready to start setting up our shelves.
![]() We truly appreciate the support from our community and look forward to an amazing grand opening in July. |
We have ElectricityOne of the hardest parts of getting into the retail space is over. We now have electricity, so we can see almost every corner of the building. The space looks a little less haunted, and we're excited to decorate with cool things and bright colors to make the store look artsy. The gallery area's lighting is a little moody, so we're trying to decide if we should get brighter bulbs for overhead lights, or if we just get nice lamps. Our minds are spinning with wonderful ideas for ways to make the space come alive.
