About
Seeking Rapture is a slow-burn psychological horror film that follows Jackie, a lonely 16-year-old girl who falls in love with a man who can hear the voice of God. Drawn into a relationship built on faith, love, and control, she begins to unravel, facing a painful reckoning with everything she’s been taught to believe. A haunting exploration of agency, purity, and spiritual manipulation. Seeking Rapture is a feature film produced by Intrinsic Productions, a company dedicated to telling stories grounded in authenticity and truth to the highest level possible. This film explores the complexities of faith, adolescence, and psychological vulnerability through the lens of a slow-burn psychological horror. We don't have any answers, just lots of questions.
To realize this vision, we are producing a narrative feature film with a focus on emotionally honest storytelling and collaborative filmmaking. We aim to reach audiences through a festival run and eventual digital distribution and streaming, ensuring the film sparks reflection and conversation around the often-blurred lines between devotion, identity, and control.
