Seen in Staten Island pairs six professional photographers with six photographers with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a reciprocal mentorship exchange. Each pair documents life on Staten Island together — producing curated photographs and paired artist statements presented at a free public exhibition at Moments Gallery in Manhattan, September 2026. The project treats artists with disabilities as creative equals rather than program participants, building a model for inclusive arts production that Shagara intends to replicate in future boroughs.
