Shakespeare Sports Theatre is Shakespeare production and in schools Heartbeat Method

About

  • Adapted Theatre for Children with Autism and Developmental Delays: Shakespeare Sports believes that that theatre is for all and that the lessons in theatre are equivalent to equal access for learning along side same age peers.  We offer interactive online theatre for individuals and schools that serve the I/DD (intellectual and/or developmental disabilities community). Our programs will support all neurodiverse people.  Adapting Shakespeare is at the core of Shakespeare Sports Theatre Company’s work with working with individuals with autism and their family because working with families means that the individuals gain more exposure to plays that are most important as well as working on social emotional lessons intertwined with language development.

  • Educational history: Carrie has her Master of Science in Special Education Birth through Second Grade and Childhood Education from Touro College, Master of Science in Education with a focus in Educational Theatre from City College of New York, as well as a Master of Arts in Acting from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from San Francisco State University
