About

This feature film follows a domestic violence advocate who is forced to confront the emotionally abusive mother she believed she had escaped when a custody battle threatens to extend a generational cycle of coercive control to her infant daughter. The project explores emotional abuse, intergenerational trauma, and the hidden psychological impact of control within family systems, with a focus on how these patterns surface around motherhood and custody. Through a grounded, character-driven story, the film aims to deepen public understanding of non-physical abuse while centering themes of resilience and breaking inherited cycles.
