She Carried It Here is an intimate cultural knowledge circle bringing together 40 Black immigrant and American-born Black mothers in Columbus, Ohio. Through facilitated storytelling and a live Story Harvest, women from Haitian, West African, Afro-Latina, Somali, and American-born Black communities document the cultural practices and values they are fighting to preserve while raising children in America. The living documentation produced stays permanently at Zora's House as a public cultural artifact.
