This work is centered around men’s mental health, the inherent lack of room for conversation within male friendships for vulnerability or openness, and the repetitive cycle of learned gestures and behavior men consciously / unconsciously inherit. By asking this work to exist solely within one space (a mens bathroom) we hope to create a sort of container, exploring the layers of both comfort and discomfort, and the way they meld into one another, constantly dismantling each other. In our process thus far, we have engaged in numerous conversations, collecting stories and gestures and experiences from varying males collective public bathroom histories.
