SkyTing

3025: SkyTing floats along the jetstream over ruined cities broadcasting and archiving what is left of human culture and connectivity. After barely surviving a massive unpredictable lighting storm the craft descends to the ground to bury its dead. SkyPeople meet EarthPeople and a ritual encounter ensues, fractally encompassing all of the grief in the world for what has been, what could have been, and what will be. Together we shift from a place of helplessness to a certain knowing of our individual and collective power. All that is left are faint broadcasts through time.......   

SkyTing is a mobile platform for creativity and community. On-playa the project is focused on presenting diverse musical voices, harm reduction and spreading the culture of community and care prototypes by The Heart Collective camp. Off-playa the project is focused on providing a stage for a variety of creative interventions into everyday life in West Marin and beyond. 

SkyTing has emerged from a lovingly restored 1974 Crown Fire Coach to be a playful stage with a world class Meyer Sound system. Collaborating with Bay Area artists we've transformed the truck into a mutant vehicle whose lore continues to grow as we share the world's best music. 

We are currently focusing on maintaining the truck, paying for our annual fixed expenses like generator rentals and (bio)fuel, upgrading to the latest Pioneer CDJs, building a robust electric battery power system for the sound system, and staging a sci-fi play centered around the truck 1000 years in the future
