This project will be bringing a fun, spooky, and different theatrical experience to the New York City stage. Supporting it means high quality performances for theater goers and higher quality working environment for the contributing artists! The play will open October 6th at ART/NY’s Gural Theater in Hells Kitchen.
Slaughter City is produced by Small Boat Productions, an independent theater company that develops New York City talent while telling bold, subversive takes on old and new stories. True to its mission, Small Boat has put together a team of over 30 theater makers between the cast and the crew to make this show possible. Slaughter City features a cast of 13 actors, and a crew of over 20 people, including the directing team, design team, creative consultants, stage management and production assistants.
In building this team, Small Boat put an emphasis on finding stars of the indie theater world to bring to a bigger stage so a brighter spotlight can shine on their great work. The money raised for this project goes towards paying these artists while supplying them with the right tools to do their work including rehearsal and performance space.
