About

Sober Living: The Musical is a mission-driven theatrical production in development over the past three years that uses musical theatre to explore addiction recovery, transitional sober living, and the personal, social, and educational challenges faced by individuals on that journey. The production is intended to bridge understanding across socioeconomic backgrounds and lived experiences, while offering audiences a humane, compassionate lens into recovery and the realities of rebuilding life after addiction. This production is also a community-centered project with a strong educational and humanitarian purpose. For people in recovery, it offers meaningful representation and the opportunity to engage creatively as performers. The ideal music producer for the project, as an example, will also be in recovery, and the playwright brings lived experience to this project. For audiences, it fosters empathy and understanding around addiction, recovery, and the diverse paths people take toward healing. The project is rooted in the belief that creative expression can be a powerful tool for connection, visibility, and social change.
