I am devoted to creating artistic landscapes free of certainty because we believe that it is in the very act of questioning our certainty that we grow as humans and, by extension, as a society.
Through the use of poetic visuals, unique soundscapes, imaginative set and costume design, spoken word, installation art, and movement-based expression, Bronwen creates sensory experiences to delight audiences…sparking a sense of wonder, allowing the space to be curious about complex, challenging subject matter.
My mission is unwavering and simple: Build Bridges. Bridges between people, perspectives, and ideas. Bridges across chasms of confusion and frustration. Bridges of understanding and curiosity, especially with topics and ideas that seem intractably polarized. I'm constantly inspired to create live or digital spaces where a shared experience reveals commonalities and the possibility of a future with less bigotry, fear, anger, and intolerance.
My over 30 years of experience in multiple disciplines enables a broad narrative scope through an ability to overlap artistic tools, creating work that elicits excitement and wonder in my audiences.
Recent and upcoming works include Has Anyone Seen Bill? a 20-minute short film about the rise in homelessness amongst working Americans, and The Mansion of Many Apartments, a full-length play about a woman struggling with acquired prosopagnosia. Mansion opens in June 2025 as a part of Burning Coal Theatre's Second Stage series.
