Sovereign Body is a large-format photography project documenting Jiz Lee in the waters of California’s Yuba River. Shot on 4×5 film, the work centers the trans body within the tradition of fine art nude portraiture, placing it in direct relationship with the natural landscape. The project will be published in a nationally distributed arts magazine and exhibited as a series of archival prints.
