Spilled Milk, the next short film by Emily Kron & Kate Hopkins, follows needy and petulant Gil Weinstock, who is mourning the loss of his mother, while navigating a tense post-funeral gathering. He dodges nosy relatives, regresses with his sister, Maya, and gets little comfort from his emotionally detached father, Arnold. All the while, Gil clings to a lie about his big Hollywood “success” until he meets Evelyn—a stranger who seems to know more about his mom and his past than he does.
