SPIRITUS

SPIRITUS is an exciting new chamber music initiative and festival that seeks to bring a vibrant and engaging artistic experience to the Stony Brook area and greater Suffolk County. Comprised of the most distinguished young musicians and leading educators of today, we present dynamic programs that feature passionate and soulful performance, and  embody the art of “life-giving” which is represented by the Latin name, “spiritus”. 

As a chamber festival, we aim to address the need for more high-quality chamber music concerts in the Stony Brook area by providing a series of concerts and events where local audiences will not only be able to experience world-class music-making, but also engage with each other in stimulating and enriching environments. Our goal is to offer opportunities for the community to come together and form deeper bonds around their shared love of music, and to enrich the classical music scene in and around the area. Our inaugural season from June 23-29, 2025 was a huge success and we are looking to expanding in 2026 to include even more artists and events, including the addition of an educational component.

To do this, we need your support to cover the various expenses including artist fees, cost of advertising and promotional materials, event rental and insurance, and more. We would be most honored by your generous financial support and donations of any amount are gladly accepted.
