“Spit Out Your Bones” is a short film by NYU Senior Cal Galicia. The story follows a young athlete as he navigates family expectations, team pressures, and the personal struggle of concealing an injury—all during the pivotal days leading up to his college’s championship game. The film explores themes of family, resilience, and cultural pride, offering a unique portrayal of the Filipino-American experience. Filming will take place February 21-28, 2025.
