There are moments in history that feel like they could disappear if we don’t hold onto them.
The Pansy Hour, a new immersive production from Submersive Productions, brings to life the vibrant, defiant world of the Pansy Craze—a time in the 1920s and ‘30s when queer artists, performers, and communities carved out space for joy, expression, and connection in the face of oppression.
This isn’t just a show—it’s an experience. Audiences will step inside a living, breathing world shaped by music, movement, storytelling, and their own decisions. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be seen, to celebrate identity, to honor our ancestors, and to build community across time. We have an incredibly talented cast who is already hard at work creating the characters you'll meet at The Pansy Club. We have an amazing team guiding the production.
But we can’t do it without you.
We've received funding through grants and sponsorships, but we still need to raise $20,000 to bring our vision to life.
Your support will help us:
- Pay our artists and collaborators equitably
- Build extensive immersive sets, costumes, and environments
- Support research and dramaturgy rooted in queer history
- Keep tickets accessible for a wide range of audiences
- Create a space where queer stories are honored and shared
At a time when queer voices continue to be challenged, The Pansy Hour is an act of joy, resistance, and remembrance.
