This project will bring 3 large Alebrijes sculptures to the Playa. Alebrijes are fantastically colored creatures that can usually fit into the palm of your hand. This project will make three large sculptures; a 10 foot tall winged horse, a six foot tall howling coyote, and a five foot diameter turtle. Iconic Burning Man symbols can be found as easter eggs in the patterns. Fairy shrimp, Larry Harvey’s hat, bacon, and bikes, to name a few. Wooden benches painted in the same multi-colored style will accompany the alebrijes to invite burners to sit and spend time together.
