Suzzanne Ponomarenko Dance is a dance company that's emphasis is based in creating a safe culture to create and celebrate dance work in its many forms, including but not limited to: non-profit fundraising, live staged performances, workshops, and collaborations. Past projects include: The Senior Care Project, in collaboration with Spaceworks NYC, which brought dance performance into nursing homes in NYC as well as New Jersey. A Chance to Dance, a project in collaboration with Go! Guatemala, which helped facilitate dance workshops in three locations in Xela, Guatemala. Exodus Road Fundraiser in collaboration with Exodus Road and Fooju Dance, to raise money to fight human trafficking. Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief effort in collaboration with Gibney Dance, Buglisi Dance Theater, Stephen Petronio, Ballet Hispanico, and Clifton Brown. And most recently, collaborations to raise money for Razom for Ukraine in efforts to provide generators to Ukrainians who have lost power due to Russian terror.
The mission of Suzzanne Ponomarenko Dance is to create and share the love of dance, and to use the power of art to gain visibility to organizations in need.
