This project intends to support the creation of new performance and educational works for bassoon. Since 2021 Dr. Joseph Swift has commissioned 16 new works for the bassoon in solo and small ensemble settings, while also working with hundreds of young musicians beginning their journey on the instrument.
Your support will help:
- Continue to commission wonderful composers from underrepresented backgrounds
- Aid in production and artist costs in bringing new works to life
- Support the research and development of new modern resources for new and intermediate musicians
These projects have been a passion of mine for many years. As both a bassoonist and educator, building resources that empower beginner, intermediate and advanced players alike through performance and education is incredibly important to me. Now, with your help, it can become a reality.
