Away from the hustle and bustle of a major city, our characters are hoping this town, and this kayak race, can launch them into the next chapter of their lives. TANDEM is a proof-of-concept brought to you by predominantly female crew that aims to bring levity and joy to audiences while reminding them of the importance of human connection. Following in the footsteps of recent successes like ABBOT ELEMENTARY (ABC) & THEATER CAMP (2023) “Tandem” is inspired by Christopher Guest’s mockumentaries (i.e. BEST IN SHOW). Wide shots, awkward zooms, and a reactionary camera that discovers the subject. The documentary team, like the viewer, doesn’t know what they will come across next in this quirky coastal town.
