Currently, 1 in 54 children are diagnosed with autism each year. Those numbers continue to increase and the awareness, understanding and training needed to support this community of children grows as well. Each April, I tour the country to promote autism awareness, understanding & support through the performance of my critically-acclaimed solo play, A Child Left Behind: My Education in Autism - a story about my last year in a South Los Angeles high school and my son’s first year in school after being diagnosed with autism. Called, “Compelling… a first-rate education…” by the LA TIMES, it is my commitment to 30 performances of A Child Left Behind in the 30 days of April (Autism Awareness Month). I would be honored if you would support me in my endeavor to bring autism awareness across the country this April, 2022. Over the years, I have performed in various theaters, colleges, universities, libraries and medical centers in New York, Wyoming, California, Washington and Massachusetts. Combining my experiences as a father to a child on the autism spectrum and my work as an autism support specialist in Los Angeles, it is my goal to support, educate and inspire as many teachers, parents and community members as possible. Hopefully we can all work together to help to build and support the autism community. Any support at all in this endeavor is appreciated and I hope to see you in the audience during April, 2022…! Thank you for your support!!
