My project aims to digest issues born from the systems that alienate humans from nature. It is concerned with questions around how to form deeper relationships with non humans. It proposes the unsettling as peaceful, the ordinary as rare, and finds common ground with a fish. Our biology has evolved with the species around us. We are built to pay attention, to form relationships and in an age where our attention can be commodified and usurped, the gentle act of watching a caterpillar eating a crunchy leaf can feel radical. If watched very closely it can be transportive.
