The Arthaus Project is an artist-run project founded by artist, educator, and curator Harlan Lovestone. The Art Haus Project dares to promote creativity and lifelong learning while empowering individuals of all ages to create with tools, ideas, and programs to live sustainably fulfilled lives that positively impact communities.
Since 2011 The Art Haus Project has created group exhibitions, art education workshops, and been a proponent for arts advocacy and redevelopment of low income in Greenville, SC. As the Project expands its mission we hope you will consider contributing toward its immediate goals.
IMMEDIATE GOALS:
Phase 1: MEET FISCAL SPONSORSHIP STIPULATION TO APPLY FOR GRANTS
Raise $1000 from friends and supporters as a stipulation of fiscal sponsorship in order to apply for grants to fund and develop art programs, exhibitions, and workshops that will benefit creatives and underserved communities as well as at-risk youth in the South East and other regions across America.
Phase 2: DEVELOP AN ART STUDIO/MAKER SPACE
Raise $100,000 in capital through gifts, grants, donations, crowdfunding, and art sales to purchase land, real estate, materials, and equipment to develop a low-cost Art Haus art studio. This studio will also act as an arts hub/makerspace with opportunities to train and teach individuals and at-risk youth in art practices such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and crafts as well as lifelong learning in skills such as computer coding, horticulture, carpentry, mechanics, sustainable energy, naturopathy, and more. After learning these skills participants would be able to return to their communities to share them with others and create systems that enable them to thrive artistically, economically, and sustainably.
