About

The Broadway Originals is a family-centered performing arts school in Ridgewood, NJ dedicated to empowering young performers through high-quality training in musical theatre, acting, dance, and on-camera performance. Founded and led by Broadway performer and certified teaching artist Miss Angel, our mission is to nurture confident, creative, and compassionate young artists. We believe every child deserves access to excellent arts education, and we teach through the lens of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging so that every student feels seen, valued, and supported.

Since opening our doors in 2021, The Broadway Originals has grown into a thriving creative home for students across Bergen County. We now offer year-round classes in Musical Theatre, Acting, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, On-Camera Technique, and Voice, along with specialty workshops, masterclasses, and school-break programs. Our students perform in fully staged musicals—including Mean Girls High School Edition, Moana Jr., Legally Blonde High School Edition, Chicago, and Descendants—as well as summer camps, intensives, and annual showcases. These productions provide hands-on experience in acting, singing, dancing, and ensemble work while strengthening confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.

Our community continues to expand through partnerships, guest artists, and opportunities for students to perform at local events and venues. We also support emerging performers through free trial classes, financial-aid opportunities, and mentorship for young teaching assistants. As a small family-owned school, we are proud to create a safe and joyful space where students can take risks, discover their voice, and shine both onstage and off.

With your support, The Broadway Originals can continue offering accessible performing arts education, producing high-quality youth theatre, and providing life-changing opportunities for young artists. Every contribution—big or small—directly impacts our ability to create programming, purchase equipment, train staff, and keep tuition affordable for families.

Thank you for being part of our Broadway Originals family. Your generosity helps inspire the next generation of performers, leaders, and storytellers.
