The Fountain, founded by students and stewarded by Good Black Art, is a recurring exhibition, mentorship and resource program supporting graduating Black MFA artists at the most pivotal moment of their career, starting with 17 artists from Yale, RISD, and Columbia and expanding to additional institutions in future cohorts. The program pairs artists with value-aligned expert partners across five pillars, financial stability, legal knowledge, marketing, relationship network, and archiving and protection, alongside a flagship exhibition opening Fall 2026. The Fountain is an independent program of Good Black Art and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Yale, RISD, or Columbia.
