About

The Four Roads” is the English equivalent to ‘Quadrivium”: the upper division of medieval education in liberal arts consisting of arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. Although rooted in the medieval period, this name expands to the many disciplines of science beyond astronomy, and includes all styles of music and time periods, connecting the intersection of “The Four Roads” of curriculum to illuminate the interdependence of science and music. My new project is a concert series that fuses together medieval music and jazz, with themes rooted in science  - ‘Moon and Stars’, ‘Once Upon a Prime’, and “Light Gathering’ are a few of the concert titles.
This project name envelopes my long creative work in connecting science with the arts. First through Galileo, Copernicus and Kepler; and now with jazz and medieval music.
