The Hudson Valley Performing Arts Laboratory

A Performing Arts Laboratory in the Hudson Valley

About

The Hudson Valley Performing Arts Laboratory

The Lab is a place where advanced and aspiring theater artists can experiment, learn, engage and perform.

The Lab provides opportunities to engage with the performing arts through educational and community-centered programming. We believe that the artist’s path is one of lifelong learning and our programming aims to meet participants at all levels and stages in their career. One of the main barriers to engagement in the performing arts is the amount of time it takes to work collaboratively. To this end, we provide class and performance schedules that can be incorporated into busy lives. We keep ticket costs low and offer a variety of free and pay-what-you-can events throughout the year to further encourage participation with the community. From experimenting with different techniques to performing shows to developing artists’ own works, the Lab is committed to making space for local artists to excel and thrive.

$10 per month or $120 a year makes you a Member!

Membership contributions provide a vital source of financial support for all aspects of the Lab including teachers and staff, programming, and the upkeep of our space. Your decision to become a Lab Member is a gift of generosity and kindness which allows us to offer a variety of free and affordable performing arts programming to the community.

While our programs are available to Members and non-members alike, the Lab could not continue to exist without the vital support of our Members. If innovative performing arts programming is of value to you, please consider becoming a Lab Member to help sustain us as a community center for the performing arts in the Hudson Valley.
