Jon Sarkin (1953-2024) was a Gloucester visionary artist who produced an estimated 20,000 works over 35 years, most of them drawn on the backs of torn-apart record album sleeves. His work is held by the Centre Pompidou, the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, and the Cape Ann Museum, among others.
The Jon Sarkin Memorial Archives documents that body of work and makes it public. Donations fund the archive directly: photographing each piece, publishing it in the free online catalogue raisonné at catalog.jonsarkin.com, and rehousing the physical collection in museum-grade materials under proper climate monitoring.
Donor funds go only to documented archive expenses.
