"The Men's Room," a short film

A male #metoo story set in Hollywood

About

The Men's Room is a fictional drama, about Crystal Gold, a former TV star, who is on the verge of a much needed comeback. She's about to open a risky autobiographical one person show, playing a man - her late father. At the same time, she's up for a lead role in a major Hollywood motion picture which will turn her career around. Desperate to prove her own worth, Crystal prepares for the biggest meeting of her life with a powerhouse producer, and finds herself at the crossroads of rage and ambition when the meeting unexpectedly exposes the truth of her son's traumatic secret.
The Men's Room explores themes of power dynamics, sexism, secrets and family betrayal. It's about unearthing the lies we tell ourselves in order to find real intimacy. Our mission is not only to participate in film festivals and on streaming platforms but perhaps, even more importantly, we will join forces with global workshops, conferences and men's summits to create dialogue. This male #metoo story will raise awareness and promote honest and much needed conversation about men's stories. Woman can also help men as they move through their own healing journeys from sexual abuse and grooming. We believe the future of #metoo must include men too.
