Between 1968 and 1970, brothers John and James Pardue robbed five banks across three states, set off bombs to cover their escapes, and left five people dead - among them their own father and grandmother. Their spree ended in Danbury, Connecticut on February 13, 1970, when three coordinated explosions tore through downtown and twenty-six people were injured. Three weeks later they were under arrest. But the chaos did not end there.
The Pardue Brothers is a feature-length documentary built from primary sources: FBI files, court records, forensic reports, and first-hand interviews with the people who were there. The research has taken over six years and reached from federal archives to small-town police departments across five states.
