The Path to Catherine, a new musical

Welcome to the new original musical, The Path to Catherine, written by Patricia Zehentmayr and Jan Roper.  This sung-through musical tells the true back-story of the teenage girl who will one day become Catherine the Great, Russia's greatest Empress, and the 2 women who shaped her: her mother Joanna, and Russia’s Empress Elizabeth.

The Path to Catherine had a 6-week run at Los Angeles' Brick House Theater in 2022 that earned phenomenal reviews as well as three nominations for the Broadway World Regional Awards, including Best Musical.

 

Now, to build on the excitement the show is generating, and to put together a producing team to lead us to an Off-Broadway run, we are raising money for the next step: a fully-produced 6-song EP with Broadway talent. This will raise our profile and earn us a place at the table to get to more serious investors in the Broadway community. We have hired up-and-coming record producer Adrian Cota (Rachel Platten, Cody Simpson, BabyJake and Camila) to be at the helm, and 3 stellar actresses who are no strangers to Broadway: Tony-nominated Caitlin Kinnunen (The Prom, Bridges of Madison County), Krystina Alabado (Mean Girls, American Psycho) and Sharon Wilkins (All Shook Up, Seussical). Other Los Angeles session players (cellos, violins, woodwinds, drums, percussion, bass, guitars) will fill out the tracks.
We need $36,000 to complete the project.
