About

The Projects/Space is a Black and woman-run arts space situated in the heart of Tucson, Arizona's Historic Warehouse Arts District. As a nonprofit space committed to fostering artistic expression and cultural enrichment, The Projects/Space provides an accessible and inclusive platform for BIPOC artists, allies, and the broader community to engage in meaningful creative experiences.

The Projects offers artists an opportunity to deepen their practice through dedicated two-month project residencies. This program is designed to empower artists to take bold risks and pursue innovative ideas without the constraints and pressures often associated with commercial art endeavors. By providing a supportive environment free from the expectations typically imposed by the art market, The Projects encourages experimentation and the development of new artistic expressions.

The Space serves as an intimate venue dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary art by local and regional artists. Through carefully curated exhibitions, The Space highlights diverse artistic voices and provides a platform for underrepresented artists to showcase their work. The gallery also hosts artist talks, panel discussions, and community events that foster dialogue and deepen public appreciation for the arts.

Our work is dedicated to enriching the community through the transformative power of art, making it an essential and accessible part of everyday life for all.
