"The Quiet Between" is a narrative short film centered on a mother and daughter navigating the early days of an outbreak. Rather than focusing on spectacle, the story explores emotional realism, sacrifice, and the quiet strength found within family as the world begins to collapse.
The film examines how love becomes both protection and burden in moments of crisis, and how survival is shaped not only by external threats but by the choices we make for the people we care about most. It is an intimate, character-driven story that uses genre as a backdrop for deep human connection and subtle, atmospheric tension.
This project is currently in early fundraising through fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas. Tax-deductible contributions support the development and production of the film, including production design, cast and crew, equipment, and festivals submissions.
The filmmaker’s previous work is currently in its festival run and has been recognized by several festivals, including a Semifinalist placement at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival and Official Selections at Soho International Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, New York Short Film Festival, Crystal Palace International Film Festival in London.
