The Fair of Inspiration is a large-scale cultural event launching in January 2026 at Seattle Center—the historic site of the 1962 World’s Fair. Inspired by the grandeur, hope, and imagination of world expositions, the Fair is a modern reimagining designed to uplift communities, support artists, and reignite civic pride. Where the World’s Fair celebrated global nations, The Fair of Inspiration celebrates communities—highlighting the local brilliance, innovation, and creativity of the Pacific Northwest.
Taking place during Seattle’s darkest season, the Fair is intentionally designed to serve as a technicolor beacon of light and optimism. It addresses seasonal affective disorder, social disconnection, and cultural stagnation with joy, awe, and togetherness. The event features multiple venues, each acting as a creative “pavilion,” showcasing a wide range of experiences: live music, immersive art installations, digital and visual arts, panel discussions, dance, storytelling, and family programming.
