The Sounds of Success initiative builds inclusive classrooms and community through arts-based education solutions by creating free, plug-and-play curriculum, professional development tools, and family engagement programs that make inclusion the standard in schools. The project’s initial focus is the development of a nationally scalable band and strings curriculum specifically designed for students with significant and severe intellectual and physical disabilities, created in partnership with the founder of FigureNotes and internationally recognized accessibility expert Dr. Alice Hammel. Through school partnerships, caregiver ensemble programs, educator support networks, and open-access dissemination, the initiative ensures students, families, and teachers nationwide gain equitable access to meaningful arts participation that strengthens belonging, engagement, and attendance at no cost to educators.
