Award-winning solo show Notes from a Narcissistic Negro and Other N Words is a fearless dramedy written and performed by Elizabeth June (Blackish, Hightown). Through original songs, spoken word, stand-up, and storytelling, Elizabeth chronicles her journey from childhood trauma—including clergy sexual abuse—to cancer survival, reclaiming power through radical honesty and artistry.

This show is a bold act of healing and resistance. Every "note" is a testimony of triumph, illuminating how laughter, rage, music, and truth-telling can transform even the darkest chapters.

Directed by Malini Singh McDonald, the piece has already received critical acclaim, including:

🏆 Best Solo Show – United Solo Festival 2024 (New York City)
🌟 Best of Fest – SoloFest 2025 (Los Angeles)

We are raising funds to bring this powerful work to broader audiences—through expanded runs, festival entries, and educational conversations around trauma, race, and survival.
