The main reason people don't see theater is the cost, and the second reason is that it's hard for most people to plan for.
Our mission is to make live, in-person theater more affordable and easy to see consistently by using a streaming-first membership model. Our subscription is $4.99 per month, or $49 per year, for in-person theater, events, and streaming content. We've been making streaming since 2019, and doing the hybrid streaming/ in-person model since July of 2021. Every one of our 7 live productions has been critically acclaimed, and the New York Times has called our work "Smart and entertaining," (Burbank, 2022), and "Incredibly engaging," (Television, 2023).
With every story we build a large canvas, tackle giant subjects, whether the global politics of the United Nations, Labor Relations in 1941, or the Birth of Mass Media, but our characters always have relatable, sometimes very small, personal issues. Relating to flawed characters is the best way to take you back in time, or out into the world, to be a fly on the wall to history and world affairs. Our motto is to make "thought-provoking crowdpleasers."
We make our streaming content more cinematically than most filmed theater, because it's meant to be complimentary, not supplementary, to the live, in-person work. People are not meant to just watch our stage plays from home, but to experience a larger story between what's online and what's in-person.
Our choice of stories fits the way we tell them: Streaming is a personal, private experience. Live theater takes you out into the world and connects you to others. Together, we believe they connect you deeper to yourself.
