Thread & Thought is a free, intergenerational community gathering space in Taos where participants learn hands-on textile skills—from basic sewing & mending to natural fabric dyeing & traditional weaving. We are calling in local artists, houseless individuals, BIPOC community members & elders. Part low-key creative incubator and part casual social circle, the project brings neighbors together to share cultural stories, revamp their wardrobes, & build practical entrepreneurial pathways for selling handmade goods. Through ongoing workshops & an annual public showcase & fashion event, the initiative fosters local economic self-determination while celebrating the rich artistic heritage of Northern New Mexico.
