This spring, Three Hares will develop and produce "On This Side of the World," a new song cycle by composer/lyricists Paulo K. Tiról, which explores the Filipino immigrant experience in the United States of America. The production culminates Noam and Paulo's artistic residency at Access Theater and will run at Access in May 2019. For more information visit:

Three Hares projects have also been supported by, and developed with, The Drama League, The LaGuardia Performing Art Center's Rough Draft Festival, the Lark, Access Theater's Residency Program, The Brick's "This is Not Normal Festival," and a League of Independent Theater Space Grant.
Recently Three Hares has developed projects exploring the immigrant experience in the United States of America, the humanitarian crisis at the United States’ Southern border, sexual harassment in the theater, interfaith marriage between Muslims and Jews, Shakespeare's
Measure for Measure in the post-#MeToo world, and modern parenting in the Trump era.
Inspired by the ancient international symbol of three hares with overlapping ears, Three Hares is a theater collective that produces socially conscious, politically engaged, and deliberately international theater. Led by Producing Artistic Director Noam Shapiro, Three Hares brings together a rotating and diverse cohort of multidisciplinary artists to examine how we respond during times of crisis or change. Three Hares begins each project with the questions: "Why here? Why now? How do we make the old relevant and the new urgent?" At every stage of our process, Three Hares is committed to developing new theater that champions emerging voices and to building rehearsal rooms and audiences that are inclusive, diverse, progressive, and international.
