This project emerges from trenches of the DIY underground of New York independent film: a collision of narrative form and surreal impulse. Throw The Dogs In The Fire continues the lineage of filmmakers like Giuseppe Andrews and George Kuchar, who treated limitation as method and chaos as structure. We plan to tour the film as a roadshow, but more importantly, we want it to function as a signal flare for a new wave of filmmakers working outside permission, budget, and convention.
