About

Director's statement: Growing up in India, I watched the women around me - mothers, aunts, teachers, even public figures - who were positioned as role models. What struck me was that their sense of self-worth, independence, and individuality often emerged only after years of carrying the weight of family duties and quiet sacrifices. Till Death Do Us Part is my attempt to grapple with this reality through comedy. Beneath the laughter lies my personal fear - of being consumed by devotion, of being defined only in relation to others. I want this film to work as a satirical commentary not only on women’s realities, but also on Bollywood itself - a genre that has often portrayed women as sacrificial, supportive figures rather than independent protagonists. At its heart, this film is not about death, but about rebirth.
