"transporting bright" is flutist Lindsey Goodman’s dynamic new fifth solo album of commissioned works by living American composers, dropping November 7 on PARMA Recordings’ Navona Records imprint. Featuring ten compelling works by Thomas Beal, Jon Fielder, Robert Frankenberry, Nancy Galbraith, Matthew Kennedy, Linda Kernohan, Matthew Jackfert, Jennifer Bernard Merkowitz, Evan Williams, and Tony Zilincik, the album includes pieces performed with both flute quartet PANdemonium4 and the Chrysalis Duo. Consisting of works written for Lindsey between 2018 and 2021 for solo flute, flute and fixed media, flute and live-processed electroacoustics, flute and piano, and flute quartet, "transporting bright" seeks a triumphant birth to expand the scope of this music’s community beyond those of her, the ensembles, and the composers to an international listening audience, as well as to present a celebratory concert in central Ohio which will unite the two chamber groups for the first time, performing works from the album and giving a world premiere for the joint ensembles.
