Trap of Romance will take you on a psychological journey as you delightfully observe Ted and Jane‘s relationship dilemma. Can Ted and Jane contend with the truth while they battle against the one thing that keeps them apart? Will they keep playing their devious games to win the most coveted prize? Or give up their deceptions for what they have been searching for all their lives?
Trap of Romance invites the viewing audience to judge - is a lie a lie, or is there some grey area in between? Will dishonesty be a mechanism for control?
We all have experienced pain, rejection, and hurt from past romances. So, we compete with manipulative devices to control a relationship so that never happens again. After all, it’s easier to tell a lie than not have to deal with an all-out yelling match, endless interrogations, or getting the silent treatment.
Ted and Jane’s fear of rejection and need for control is demonstrated by their deceitful questions that are meant to trap each other through their compromising answers.
Trap of Romance presents two people who are falling in love and are challenged to surrender their vulnerabilities in order to find themselves and each other. It's a fun story that “marries" romance with the emotional rollercoaster of a dating relationship. The story weaves a web of lies told through song, dance, and combative stunts.
Sorina Sambula is the Producer of Trap of Romance. Sorina served as Associate Producer of Five PSAs, 2 of which have garnered a Telly Award. She produced a coming-of-age film called "Beauty School" and served as Production Manager on "Storm Watch", which placed 13 nominations.
The Director of Trap of Romance is Gillian Fritzsche. She is an award-winning director, producer, and writer with over two decades of experience in theatre, film, and video. Gillian has produced and co-directing season two of the web series “Bronx ‘ish." She directed her debut short film “Sonny,” now available on ROKU. Gillian produced and directed the 12-episode documentary series “LSL Life,” for Hearing First.
The Writer of Trap of Romance is Hunter Cline. Hunter has an MFA in Screenwriting from Regent University. Attended Act One Screenwriting Program. He is in development with concepts for Nickelodeon, and Disney TV Animation.
