Tri-Pi Theatre intends to produce unique, original theatre performances utilizing innovative puppetry forms and theatrical techniques to tell compelling stories that speak of our shared, human experiences. Our upcoming production, "Seberang Lautan/Across the Sea", an Indonesian collaboration with renowned performer/musican Peni Candra Rini is her personal story of almost losing her fisherman father to the sea when she was a child growing up in a poor village on the island of Java. The show explores how our individual struggles against what may seem tragic circumstances, can lead to an astoundingly wonderful future that is foreseen only by the gods.
