Triptych Journey

Triptych Journey's mission is to tell compelling world stories that speak to all of us. Using multimedia arts and expression, Triptych Journey connects audiences to vulnerable people, cultures, and ecology, instilling values of conservation and preservation in a rapidly changing world.

We are now in the development stage for our second project and feature-length film: Beneath the Bodhi Tree- Journey to Healing.  Beneath the Bodhi Tree explores the Buddha's realizations–interdependence, impermanence, and compassion–as evidenced in the embodied wisdom of the forest.

The film narrates the transformative life of the Buddha, as witnessed by trees; and the storied life of the Bodhi Tree, as nurtured and revered by humans. The film will explore all that trees have to each us in this time of climate change and fractured ecosystems, and will include a mix of voices and perspectives, including Buddhist lay pilgrims and teachers, and dendrologists and conservationists.

Principle cinematography is scheduled for Fall/Winter 2024-25, and will take place in India, Sri Lanka, Japan, and the United States- all sites with Bodhi Trees grown from saplings of the original tree. We are seeking $150,000 to fund the production shoot, including logistics, equipment, travel and crew. All donations will go directly to support production costs.
