"TRU CHAT"...A Community Podcast produced/engineered and hosted by an upcoming Englewood production platform, MejiMusyK, is a podcast inspired by the many local outreach initiatives to end violence in Englewood, Chicago by the community. "TRU CHAT" provides an avenue for the voices/residents of Englewood, Chicago to be heard un-interrupted and un-cut, straight (particularly said population within the the community with highest crime rate) from the streets, homes, and work spaces of the community. "TRU CHAT" allow the residents to tell their stories and share personal and professional experiences, thoughts and concerns on life in Englewood and their heart-felt opinions and ideas based on actual experiences, on changing unwanted narratives. So often stories are told about the community of Englewood, Chicago by reporters n organizations that don't live, work, or play in the community and have very little if any at all, genuine concern for real details supporting the well-being of this community making the stories that are told/heard by the public (From these traditional journalist approach to sharing information on media platforms) un-true and ready to sell to the public. This traditional journalism/ist approach to media platforms seems to be an intricate and deliberate strategy in supporting systemic racism. JoYful SoundZ uses "TRU CHAT"...A Community Podcast as a new and innovative way to address the generational gaps in the community and to change this traditional approach to sharing information, reporting local news by allowing the people to TELL the TRUTH to CHANGE the NARRATIVE through a lens created by the people!
